Wow a few things have happened since last...

Well, I guess a few things have happened since the last time we posted-
1- We got Marriaged
2- We went on a honeymoon to Maui Hawaii
3- I got instant family with a Kitty
4- Started a new year together
5-Changed Jobs
6-Went to Wendover and saw Frank Caliendo in action
7- Adopoted a poochie

So stay tuned folks as this maybe a long one!

1- So yeah, we got married on December 17th 2008. It was a beautiful winter day- a bit cold, but beautiful.
My love and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple at roughly 4 pm (that's when we estimate that it was official). It was a very lovely sealing.
And I am so very excited to be able to be together forever with my love Miss Amanda.
So after the temple- we went and had photos taken for about 35 minutes on the temple grounds. That 35 minutes was about all we could take, because as soon as that sun disappeared behind the temple, it got real cold real fast!
So after the 35 minutes of cold outside, we went inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and took some more pictures.
Then a bit later, our reception started in the Bonneville room of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We had a great time and had alot of people show up, which we are very thankful for!
After the reception Amanda and I left on a carriage to where we spent our first night as a couple- The Peery Hotel. and thats all we will cover about that- :)

#2- The Honeymoon

#2- Well after the fun and draining night of the wedding, it was awesome to be able to take off and head to a warm sunny spot called Maui Hawaii!

We had a great time, the weather was absolutely beautiful! No rain, just clear sunny skies and 80 degrees... ahh I wanna go back.

While there we stayed at The Westin Maui on Lahiana- Great place to stay, highly recommend. Our view from our room was awesome! Ocean view, so every morning we woke up to the blue ocean water, and listenting to it. and then at night we went to sleep watching it.

For fun, we basically just swam and relaxed on the beach.

We did go to a luau, that was awesome.

Oh we also just cruised in our red mustang with the top down, oh all the time!

Ate at some great places- #1 on our list- Cheeseburger in paradise! Awesome place!
Basically maui was just awesome as can be!

#3- the instant family

So in getting married, not only did I get a beautiful wife, but I also got a Kitty.

Amanda, has had a kitty for 2 years prior to me. Sabrina wondered up to her step Dad's house, and was instantly adopted. I guess someone just dropped her off on the PineView resevoir dam, poor little kitty!

Her name is Sabrina, she is a cute little kitty. She is probably the smartest thing in our house. I dont think she is fond of me taking her Amanda time, so sometimes I sleep with one eye opened, so that she wont try to kill me in the middle of the night.

needless to say, I never was a kitty fan before, but since meeting Sabrina, I am a Sabrina fan and cats aren't as bad as I thought they were.

#4, #5 and #6- all included in this one

Well here is numbers 4, 5 and 6-

4- Starting a new year together-

Well Amanda and I were very excited to start a new year together, we spent the night just hanging with the family. Amanda threw a way awesome party

#5-Changed Jobs- Well Amanda has switched her job, she is still doing her CNA home health care skills, but she has taken a more contracted approach, so that she has more flexability to go back to school to pursue her degree which is a goal for her. She is an awesome lady! She is a great caregiver and will accomplish great things, and I am excited to watch it all happen!

#6- Franky Caliendo- Very funny comedian with his impressions- He does a great John Madden, Jerry Seinfield, Charles Barkley, George W Bush, etc. Very funny guy.

Wendover is a great place, we love going there. It is a whole different world, the people there are insane! Love it!

#7- the new poochie

Well, on saturday 2/21, Amanda and I went to the petsmart in Layton to go look at adopting a dog. We had been looking for a dog, and at this dog for a few weeks.

What an amazing dog she is-

Her name is Sophie. She is a Lab mix, probably a bit of a malamute and golden retriever, she is 4 years old roughly.

She was found on the street in Preston Idaho, where she had been raising some very young puppies.

The first time we went to the adoption at petsmart, both of Sophie's puppies were adopted. We wanted to adopt Sophie that day, but decided it would be best to not fully give into our emotions but to be Adults (being an Adult is no fun) and make sure it was the right thing.

Well we kept an eye on the adoption website to make sure, Sophie hadn't been adopted, as Amanda had fallen in love with her the moment we met her. She dreamed about her at night and it was all she can think of.

Well then this last Saturday we went to petsmart and adopted our newest love-Sophie.

Sophie is a great dog, very obedient- she knows how to sit, lay, stay, play fetch, go to her kennel, etc.

She is also very quiet, she hasn't barked at all, except for when she is rolling around in the grass, playing.

Very loving dog, and we are very excited to have her in our family!

So a couple weeks ago, Amanda and I had our engagement photos done. I know we are way on top of the ball, all because of Amanda, she is amazing! Any way we had Heather Gardner take our pictures, she is an amazing photographer! Mind you, all these photos haven't been photo shopped or doctored at all. Yeah she is that good.
