Box Elder County Fair....

Well, Amanda and I headed up to the Box Elder County Fair a couple weeks ago. It was a great time. It has it all-

Great food

and some very interesting people.

The main reason for attending the fair is to eat one of the delicious burgers that are made up there-

Amanda is a recently ex- vegetarian, so we have been slowly introducing her to Meat again, and she has done very well. I told her that the burgers that are made up at the fair are in the top 5 best burgers I have ever eaten.

So being the good sport she is, came with me to try it out.

Below are the photos-

there she is eating a double cheese. She says it has been the best burger she has eaten thus far.

Another thing Amanda and I stumbled upon was a mechanical bull, so we did it. Here are the videos-

Here is Amanda riding the Bull-

It was blast and look at my girl she is a cow girl! How sexy is that?

Engaged!!!! We got engaged!!!!

For those enquiring minds and want to know how it went that we got engaged- It went a little like this-

This story will be told from both of our points of view-

Amanda- The day started off with a surprise done by Jeff, he wouldn't tell me where we were going.

Jeff- That's because I wanted this to be really special.

Amanda- So after a long long drive in the car, we ended up in Oakley Utah
Jeff- Which I am pretty sure its little house on the prairie land. There is nothing out there!

Amanda- It was really pretty though.

So anyways- We arrived at Stillman Ranch and Jeff told me we were going horseback riding. Our ride ended up being a private ride- Just us two and the tour guide/mountain man.

Jeff- The guy was cool and had lots of cool stories, that he really enjoyed telling.

Amanda- So our ride was up in the Uintah Mountains, it was such a beautiful view and and beautiful day and very beautiful scenery. It was nice to be out and doing this.
Jeff- yeah it was cool.

Amanda- This was extra special touching to me, because I love to ride horses and just enjoy being around horses, so it was such a cute surprise and I loved it. Very thoughtful.
It was alot of fun because it was Jeff's first time riding a horse, so it was fun to see him be a bit nervous.

Jeff- Yeah horses scare me, but I enjoyed it alot.

Then after our 2 hour ride, we ate lunch in Oakley at a Old 50's rail car turned into a restaurant. Great food.

Amanda- Yes it was, plus it was very good food.
Fast forward a few hours later-

Amanda- Jeff then took me to a quaint Italian restaurant that had a outdoor patio with a waterfall and lights and it was very romantic.

Jeff- It was cool, the food was alright.

Amanda- then after dinner we went for a walk to temple square and checked out Joseph Smith Memorial Building and then he took me on a carriage ride around town.

Jeff- Love carriage rides, the drivers are a bit weird. But it's fun to be in the spotlight, because everyone looks at you as you ride by. I wanted to show off my baby, she looked beautiful!

Amanda- It was very romantic, and we got to see the city in a different light, plus I have always wanted to take a carriage ride since I moved to Utah in 2004. So it was awesome.
After the carriage ride we walked back to our car, we checked out some cool artwork in the Utah Symphony house.

I felt like something was on Jeff's mind all night, but he never would admit to anything.

Jeff- What would I say, I guess that would've been an opportune time to propose but I didn't.

Amanda- On our way back to the house, Jeff mentioned he wanted to see the new development up in North Salt Lake.

Jeff- That is one thing I like to do, drive around looking at fancy houses.

Amanda- So he drove to the top of the mountain, and we found a great view of the city (both salt lake and up to Farmington), he stopped the car, and he got out of the car and he started telling me how much his life has changed in the past year and how his feelings are for me. And before I knew it, Jeff was on his knee asking for my hand in marriage.

Jeff- I said, Amanda Prince will you marry me?

Amanda- All I could do was say-Yes, yes!! I felt that night was absolutely perfect!

Jeff- and so now were Engaged!

How we met according to her...

One night I was bored hanging out at home. I decided to go on an LDS singles website to just check it out, and have fun. On the site you could go through all of the different pictures and see who was all on there. I started to look at all of the different pictures when I came across Jeff's Pic. I recognized his face because his family actually lived up the street from me, and were in my ward. I really wanted to talk to him but, in order to do so I had to join this single website. So I thought I would give it a shot. I Joined and sent him a "flirt" which is just a notification that says this person is interested in you. After I sent the flirt I got a message back from Jeff within 15 minutes. We started to chat & getting to know each other.
Because I was new to the website I didn't have my profile put together so there wasn't a picture of me. So Jeff was trying to figure out who I was based on questions he was asking me. And I think it was bugging him because he grew up in Kaysville his whole life. but, sense I moved here from California he couldn't figure out who I was. We talked for a few hours that night, and it was so much fun.
The next day I was on a walk with my friend Emily and was walking passed Jeff's parents house when you know who drove on by. Yep! it was my boy Jeffrey! We waved our first wave. And I was totally excited. By that night I had updated my profile, and had a picture on and all of my information. So now Jeff knew who I was. We continued to chat online and find out more about each other.
As time went on I really started to like this Jeffrey boy. Every time we would talk online I became more, and more intrigued with getting to know him. we would have very fun, deep, and serious conversations. I couldn't wait to meet him in person. So that was the beginning if Jeff & Amanda.

How me met according to him....

Well the first time that we met that I remember...

Was on the Internet.

I joined a LDS singles site in order to get my recently divorced boss out there and dating again.
So I set up a site for me, and then one day I get a message from a girl in Kaysville. I thought hey that is pretty cool.

So I messaged her back, and we began talking, and found out that we had a bunch in common. She seemed pretty cool in talking and she laughed at my jokes so that was a bonus for me.

However she didn't have a photo put up on her profile, so I started liking her personality before I ever got a glimpse of her looks.

And then she put up a photo, and I was like wow, she is gorgeous. However it was still moving slowly. It took us about 2-3 weeks of Internet chatting before we decided to meet.

So I planned a first date.

I showed up to pick her up, she opened the door, and I was stunned. Even better in person!

So I met her mom and then we were off- we had dinner, we had dessert, we had great chemistry and tons in common, plus I was really comfortable around her. We talked all night long and then it was over. But I was twitter patted from then on.

I knew she was the one around March. It just hit me, I was getting ready to go on a long business trip, and she was very caring for me. She bought me a little goodie pack if I got hungry, she bought me reading material for the plane, and she also bought me medicine to sleep and also if I got sick. Right then, it hit me, this girl is the one. It wasn't so much the fact that she bought me stuff, but the thought and compassion she put into it.

I loved it. and I love her.
